How do I order lunches? Lunch orders are placed in RenWeb in the “Student Information” in the “Lunch” section. Lunches are only opened during certain times of the month, the 10th-20th of the previous month, except at the beginning of the year and Christmas.
How do I pay for lunches? Orders can be paid for online using PayNow, following the directions on RenWeb. If you have an outstanding balance, and you’d like to send in a check; checks can be made out to St. Thomas More School, sent via kidmail to Melanie Ubil.
If I am uncomfortable with online payments, what can I do? Please send in a check before ordering starts, this will give you a balance for the lunch order to be paid from.
If my child forgets his/her lunch, what happens? The lunch program has some supplies on hand to offer your student, PB&J sandwiches, yogurt, applesauce, fruit cups and Sunchips. They may choose 3 of the options for their lunch. The student is charged $5.00 for a lunch.
How do I know if my order has been placed? You will not get a confirmation of that your order has been placed, but you can check in Renweb. In the Lunch section, ordered items will be in a different color ink (blue or red).
How do I know if my payment was received or how much I owe? If you go into the “Family Information” section you will see a section called “Family Billing” which will have the balance on the account and if you click on “Details” you can see if your payment was processed. You can also click on “PayNow” to pay any balances due.
Is my money refunded if my student is absent? Unfortunately, no, since the order is placed with the vendor ahead of time, adjustments are not made for sick children, since we will still be receiving the food from the vendor.
I noticed it says “field trip” with my child’s class listed on one of the ordering days, what does that mean? Unfortunately, lunches can’t be blocked for individual classes, so when your child’s teacher notifies me that their class will be on a field trip and the class will miss lunch, I put that in the calendar as “…field trip” with “…” being the class that is having the field trip, ie “1A field trip” means please do not place an order for your 1A child.
I noticed my child’s lunch in the car and drove it back to school, what should I do with it? If you go into the kitchen, you will notice a spot that says “Forgotten Lunches Here” please be sure to label your child’s lunch bag with their name and the class and leave the lunch there. The lunch volunteers will be sure to get the lunch to your student.
I’d love to help out with the lunch program, what do I do? Please contact Melanie Ubil for more information. Most days we have 3 volunteers a day from about 11-1, younger siblings are more than welcome to come “help”.
